What are Emotional Problems?

From time to time, we all face various problems in living and relationship challenges. Sometimes this is a real struggle, especially when we also need to cope with our own emotional reactions. For example, one moment we may feel okay then the next we may feel sad, angry, lonely, anxious, jealous, confused or fearful. Emotional states can change quickly. They can also become stuck.

In addition, in relationships, we may also struggle emotionally to understand and cope with the emotions of others, such as a partner, relative, child or colleague. This may lead to feeling very insecure, rejected, ignored, unwanted, misunderstood, abandoned and criticised. It is often very difficult to make sense of what is happening and how to move forward.

Therefore, as well as having many different emotions, we also live in a constant process of trying to make sense of our emotions and, at times, this can be very confusing. This is where counselling or therapy can help you in a big way.
