Possibilities Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre Aberdeen counsellors and psychotherapists (UKCP registered) are all highly qualified, very experienced and professionally registered. We love diversity and help improve all kinds of human relationships.
Please note: we offer a professional service. We do not use volunteer and/or non-qualified, non-registered counsellors.
All relationships are different and different kinds of relationships have different needs. Gay and lesbian couple relationships can face many challenges similar to heterosexual relationships; however, there are also differences.
See Couples Counselling Aberdeen for more information.
Our counsellors at Possibilities Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre Aberdeen provide you with a caring and supportive setting to help you find a way through difficulties.
Relationship counselling can help you talk things through and move forward with issues such as trust, affairs, arguments, intimacy, communication and resolving arguments and conflicts.
In some couple situations, you might need help to radically transform your relationship. In other situations, you might need help to address a specific relationship issue, such as: intimacy or an unresolved conflict.
We work with you in a collaborative way. In addition to standard relationship problems, we also pay attention to issues of power and underlying assumptions about problems, sexuality, gender and life choices.
All couples counselling is confidential and aspires to be non-judgemental.
Once you have arranged an initial consultation appointment via telephone or email, you will be seen by an experienced and qualified psychotherapist at Possibilities Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre Aberdeen who will talk with you about your relationship and what you hope to achieve during counselling.
If you decide to go ahead with further couples counselling appointments, the best times for appointments and how often meetings take place will be agreed with you in advance. The cost of counselling with your couples counselling psychotherapist will also be agreed. (Please see fees.)
If it is appropriate to your situation, in addition to couples counselling, there are options to attend the counselling meetings individually without your partner. Or, depending on your needs, you might need a combination of solo and couple counselling meetings.
All communications will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
