Stress is a normal part of life and we all experience it.
However, stress becomes problematic when you have difficulty coping with it, you feel there is too much of it and it feels like you can't make it go away.
Sometimes when people are consistently over-stressed, they turn to drugs and alcohol to help them cope or spend lots of time on mindless activities. This usually just compounds the problem.
You should consider seeking stress counselling when you are experiencing difficulty managing your stress. It is not a good idea to let stress escalate or go on too long.
